Charge of My Life: Choices, Changes and Me' to those looking for a positive approach
to combat the teenage problem of low self-esteem which often leads to self-destructive
behaviors such as substance abuse, poor school attendance and poor school achievement."

book is great! It addresses so well the normal difficulties facing children and
the struggles with relationships and self. Our professional staff has had the
opportunity to review the book and have started to utilize them as a tool in individual
and group therapy sessions. Those children who are struggling with emotional abuse
and neglect issues and those struggling with anger and self-esteem issues profit
most from your book. ….What a great job you did with this book. I plan to share
it with my own children." Colleen

" 'Taking Active Charge
of Your Life' is being received with great enthusiasm by students. Absenteeism
is down and the kids look forward to their weekly rap session and a chance to
share their feelings. On those days no discipline is required, just excitement."

My
Mental Reality Check Didn't Bounce. "Taking
Charge of My Life (choices, changes, and me) has to be the best book besides the
Bible in my eyes. This book literally saved my life. I...felt that my life was
out of control and I had no answers as to why I felt this way at the time. Upon
being treated for severe depression and O.C.D. I was given a choice to read a
book by Ed Harmon and Marge Jarmin. Being
in...cartoon form it was easy for
me with my short attention span to comprehend. My whole life changed after reading
this book. I am now fully recovered and back in charge of my life. I am in total
control of my choices, changes and ME! Thank you and God Bless!"

"My
son, husband and I are thankful [for receiving] a copy of your book "Taking
Charge of My Life - Choices, Changes and Me". It's great! I found the book
very well written, inspiring and helpful. McLuhan is often quoted as saying "the
medium is the message." In this regard, you, through the lens of your book
have been able to help our family better view and understand some difficult issues.
"Thank you. Wishing you continued success! Sincerely," G,

"I
found the information at your seminar on Stress Techniques to be so valuable that
I wanted to share the information with my children. I purchased "Taking Charge
of My Life" at the seminar for one of my daughters and found it so insightful
when I read it. "I think the format is excellent. Written in "caricature
form" makes it fast reading with visual stimulation. As an older adult, it
also took me back to the timeframe (adolescent) when I was probably forming many
of my misconceptions of stress management. And I need to reprogram my brain.
"I had always equated handling stress well, to one's ability to publicly
display emotional stability. With this eschewed perception, I internalize destructive
stress, for which I now have medical conditions. "I realize this
is learned behavior and that it has probably been passed on to my children. I
would advise my kids (ages 22-30) to read the book first, followed by the more
formal presentation in the seminar handouts. I can only offer the information;
it will be their choice to read it." KM
